Before work
Starting point
The room contained only a pedestal sink and toilet, but patterned wall covering and old floor tile made finish removal the main task. The renovation retained the wall layout and drywall, so a full gut would have created unnecessary patching.
On site
Work completed
Fixtures were disconnected and lifted out before wallpaper, baseboard and floor tile were removed. Compact hand tools kept vibration away from the adjoining rooms, and the debris route was protected from the powder room to the exterior door.
Clean handoff
Result
The room was left empty with capped plumbing, clean drywall and an exposed floor ready for preparation. Matching the demolition depth to the actual renovation scope saved time and kept usable wall surfaces out of the waste stream.
