Debris hauled same day

A renovation produces more waste than most people expect, and it tends to arrive all at once: the drywall, the old flooring, the cabinets, the broken-up concrete. Someone has to move it, sort it and haul it to the right place. That is what this service covers. We load it ourselves, take it away, and leave the site swept. Here is what construction waste removal costs in Toronto and York Region.

Construction waste removal cost in Toronto: the real ranges

A single load typically runs $300–$600. Renovation or demolition debris runs $500–$1,500, depending on volume. Heavy material such as concrete, soil and brick is priced by weight, because dense loads drive disposal cost regardless of how much space they take up. For sorted concrete and masonry, expect roughly $150–$300 per tonne hauled and taken to recycling.

Cost factorWhy it matters
VolumeFor light, bulky material like drywall and lumber, the space it fills in the truck sets the price.
WeightConcrete, brick and tile are priced on tonnage, since a small pile can be a heavy load.
SortingClean, separated material is cheaper to recycle than a mixed load.
AccessCurbside is fast; carrying loads out of a basement or up a back lane adds labour.
We load itThe price includes the labour to load. You do not move anything to the curb.

You pay for what actually leaves, and the written number is the one on the invoice.

Crew-loaded, not a bin on the street

A bin needs somewhere to sit. On many Toronto streets, that means applying to the city for a permit to place it on the road, and waiting for that approval before the bin can even arrive. Driveways are often too narrow or too steep, and a bin blocking one for a week is a nuisance for the whole household.

Crew-loaded removal skips all of that. A truck and a crew arrive, carry the waste out of the house or off the site, load it in one visit and drive away. There is nothing left on the property afterward and no rental clock running. If you are weighing the two options, our bin rental vs junk removal guide compares them in detail.

Concrete, brick and masonry: sorted and recycled

Concrete and masonry come from driveways, patios, foundations, walls and chimneys. They are heavy, and they are priced by the tonne. They are also very recyclable. Clean concrete and brick can be crushed into aggregate and reused, which is usually the cheaper route compared with sending it mixed into general waste.

For that reason we keep masonry separate from the rest of the load. If you are breaking up a slab or a driveway and just need the pieces gone, see our concrete removal service, which covers the breaking and the hauling together. If the concrete is already broken up, we can haul it on its own.

Renovation debris: drywall, lumber, flooring, fixtures

Most renovation waste is light but bulky: drywall sheets, offcuts of lumber, old flooring, cabinets, vanities, toilets and tile. We load all of it, sort what can be recycled, such as metal and clean wood, and take the rest to the right facility. Heavier items like tile and cast-iron tubs are weighed into the price, not hidden in it.

For a household cleanout, an estate, or a pile left behind by another trade at a home, our debris and junk removal service is the better fit. This page is for waste coming off a job site.

For contractors: scheduled pickups during a job

If you are running a renovation or a build, waste does not wait for the end of the job. We can set up scheduled pickups tied to your stages: after demolition, after framing, after finishes, and at final cleanup. You give us the address, the access and the dates, and we quote the visits as a plan.

That keeps the site safe and clear for the trades behind you, and it means you are not paying for a bin to sit half full for three weeks. If you work with us regularly, send the schedule early so we can hold the days.

How it works

Four steps, no surprises

  1. Walkthrough & quote

We look at the job in person or from photos and give you a firm written price. No vague estimates that grow later.

  2. Prep & protection

Floors, walls and pathways get protected. Utilities are confirmed off. Containment goes up where dust control matters.

  3. Demolition

The crew tears out exactly what was scoped. Nothing more. Structural elements are never touched without an engineer’s direction.

  4. Haul-away & broom sweep

All debris leaves in our bins the same day where possible. The space is swept clean and ready for the next trade.

Common questions

Construction Waste Removal FAQs

What counts as construction waste?

Construction waste is the material a building job produces, such as drywall, lumber, flooring, tile, insulation, cabinets, fixtures, metal, concrete, brick and general renovation rubble. It comes from demolition, renovations and new builds. Household junk and estate cleanouts are handled under our debris removal service.

Do you take concrete and brick?

Yes. Concrete, brick and other masonry are heavy, so they are priced by weight rather than by how much space they take. We keep them separate from mixed waste and take them to aggregate recycling where we can, which is usually cheaper than disposing of them mixed with everything else. Clean, sorted loads cost less.

Should I rent a bin or use crew-loaded removal?

A bin sits on your property while you fill it, and you pay for the rental window whether you finish or not. Crew-loaded removal means we arrive, load everything in one visit and haul it the same day. For a side-by-side look at both, read our guide on bin rental vs junk removal.

Can you do recurring pickups while a renovation is in progress?

Yes. For jobs that produce waste over several days or weeks, we can set up scheduled pickups, for example at the end of demolition, after rough-in, and at final cleanup. Tell us the job address and the stages and we will quote the visits as a plan, so debris never piles up on site.

What won't you take?

We do not take asbestos-containing material or other hazardous waste, such as paint, solvents, propane tanks and similar. Those need licensed handlers, and we will point you to the right one. If we spot suspect material on site, such as old flooring, insulation or plaster in an older building, we stop and tell you it needs testing first rather than hauling it.

Can you come same day or next day?

Often, yes. Small loads can frequently be scheduled within a day or two, depending on the truck schedule and where you are. Larger cleanouts are booked for a window that fits the volume. If you have a deadline, such as a final inspection or a handover date, tell us and we will work to it.
